One of the fun things working with under paintings, glazes and scumbles is you never know what you’re going to end up with. Not that I ever know that anyway. Most of the time I haven’t any idea what I’m going to paint or draw, I just start with a color, brush size and a spontaneous first stroke and it evolves from there. A landscape or a figure appears or like the last picture, something that I have no idea what it is.
The best, I feel, are those we don’t think about or plan. They just come to us and leave their mark.

Indeed my friend. I like that one, “leave their mark.”

Here’s my response to the paintings, from top to bottom:
1. An interesting mix of colors and shapes but has no emotional impact.
2. A guy having fun moving to the calypso beat 🙂
3. My favorite. What a knockout punch from our boxer!

Yet again another critique that I’d concur with, thanks Rosaliene. Every creative person appreciates and needs feedback even this hermit. Plus, and here’s the fun part, I didn’t see the ‘boxer’ until you pointed it out!
