Stages of a Bong-Doodle.

1. spontaneous squiggle.

2. a little color fill in.

3. facial expression. Tricky part because this has to be done quickly and spontaneously.
4. some added color shapes. Tricky part, when to stop and leave well enough alone. This is a little too light for me but I don’t like editing a quick 60 second doodle, robs the joy.

  1. Mike, I also found your development process of great interest. It’s intuitive without anxiety for perfection.

As writers, we are encouraged to do the same when writing our first draft. Expression without self-censorship.

    1. perfect way to describe it Rosaliene. Writing is a tough one. I started a novel and made it to page 270 before setting it aside, too much self censorship. Essentially I killed it along with the joy of expression.
