I found #1 intriguing, given the current congressional drama of Kavanaugh v. Ford. The perplexed woman in the painting not only appears to be bombarded from the right (her right side), but is also disappearing into or being absorbed by the background.

Indeed, this whole Kavanaugh thing is Clarence Thomas replayed. They ignored Anita Hill and voted in one of the most useless justices of all times.
